We are located in the
beautiful Hill Country southwest of Austin, Texas.
In the Cavy part of my world, I specialize in only
longhair breeds: Peruvians, Texels, Silkies and, a few
Coronets, a few Alpacas, a few Satins.
I have had the
good fortune in the past few years to sell my young cavy stock to
people who were interested in showing. So many
of them have won many awards.
I did some showing in 2008. A strawberry roan Peruvian boar who won Best
of Breed in two shows. My 3 month old
Black/White Coronet won Best of Breed in one show, and a
young Texel boar won Best Opposite of Breed in one of the
shows (if not for a belly hair incident he might have won
BOB!).. A Black/white Coronet boar
won
Best of Breed at the Houston Livestock Show!
Anyway, I am VERY proud of my breeding stock!
We (Lucas
& Liebe) are also now
carrying
Aussie
Logic rabbit/gp feed.
I am feeding my
cavies this feed and supplementing with
Vitamin C in their water. The
results have been amazing.
I no longer worry about my
pregnant sows. I have not had one
sow in toxemia since switching
to this feed over 1 1/2 years ago.
NOT ONE. |
So far, in 2009 just one show,
but, plan to make others. I somehow was the only
person showing Texels at the Austin show, so, yeah, we got
BOB and reserve... But, actually, we got the popular vote
for Best in Show although the judge did not agree. :-(
We did get honorable mention however... :-)
Some of my youngsters did quite well too even though no one
was 'coated out'. Hoping to do some coating out THIS
YEAR. I have many pairs of
English Budgies in exotic colors, including Spangles, some
violets, Rainbows, some Opalines, Lutinos and various green and blue
combinations. J&M Aviary here is Austin is
a buyer of my youngsters and have hand fed
them. Email me if you are interested in any
young Budgies or call J&M ((512) 288-2199) for handfed
babies. I will soon have young breeding pairs
for sale as well. I have baby budgies
right now if you are interested (not handfed) but, handled
often. Kay

New Angelhair logo compliments of
Maris in the Philippines - isn't this cute?
Well, we had a successful exportation of curly haired
piggies to Maris in the Philippines!! Not for
the faint of heart though. These little guys
were on 4 different flights with a layover in Honolulu for
24 hours! It was THREE FULL DAYS of traveling,
but, they made it and they are ALRIGHT, just beat - sleeping
a LOT! All I can say is THANK THE LORD they made
it in good shape.
